CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
The call for abstracts for the first Clinical Optometry Poland conference is now open!
The conference will take place on 15-17 November 2024, in Warsaw, Poland, and will focus on clinical aspects of optometry in Poland and beyond.
We look forward to welcoming a number of researchers and professionals to discuss, and share the latest research, education and clinical practice in optometry, optics and dispensing, and vision science.
Deadline and decission:
The submission window is open until 30th June 2024 (midnight CET).
Authors should expect a preliminary decision by the 18th August 2024.
Submission of the poster or presentation by 15th September 2024.

Abstract topics
To fit with the conference topics:
- Clinical Optometry,
- Advanced Contact Lens,
- New Technologies in Optometry,
- Optometry Practice Business,
- Myopia Control,
- Anterior Segment Disorders,
we look forward to receiving abstracts or content related, but not restricted to this topic. Work that has the potential to help colleagues, at a national, regional and global international level in their professional development will also be taken into consideration.
This could be new research, clinical findings, new technology/developments in visual assessment, novel ideas for how to move patients through the healthcare system, educational topics, or anything else that represents an issue and how to help resolve it.
Please note that only abstracts adhering to the guidelines, with the required format and content will be considered for review and inclusion in the program.
Abstract categories are:
- Scientific or Research
- Case studies
- Educational
The format can be for either a poster or oral presentation.
Abstracts should be maximum 350 words in length, and should be structured in the following ways, based on their type of content:
Scientific or Research-led abstracts: Purpose, Method, Results*, and Conclusion**
Case studies abstracts: Clinical topic, EBM based guideline in particular case, Content or case presentation, Actions taken, Recommendations/Conclusions**
Educational abstracts: Educational topic or area, Content, Results, Recommendations/Conclusions**
* Research results are expected to be accompanied by proper statistical analysis and relevant numerical results.
** Conclusions should be supported by the results presented in the abstract.
