Workshop Overview:
As part of Alcon’s commitment as the platinum sponsor of Clinical Optometry Poland and the International Association of Contact Lens Educators (IACLE), we will conduct an interactive workshop utilizing the IACLE Case Report Series. This workshop will focus on the analysis of both contact lens-related cases and general clinical optometry cases, providing participants with an opportunity to engage in practical, case-based learning.

Workshop Format:
The session will involve the presentation of clinical cases, each followed by a quiz aimed at assessing participants’ clinical reasoning and diagnostic skills. The cases will encourage critical thinking and active participation in discussions. Participants demonstrating the highest performance in the quizzes will receive educational materials designed to further support their professional development.

Topics Covered:

  • Advanced contact lens fitting techniques, including the management of toric and multifocal lenses.
  • Clinical approaches to managing complications related to contact lens wear.
  • Diagnostic and therapeutic strategies in general optometry, with a focus on the anterior and posterior eye segments.
  • Approaches to optimizing patient care and improving long-term outcomes in contact lens wearers.
  • Management of patient-reported symptoms such as discomfort and suboptimal vision with contact lenses.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completing the workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. Apply clinical knowledge to contact lens-related and general optometry cases.
  2. Demonstrate enhanced diagnostic and problem-solving skills in the context of complex clinical scenarios.
  3. Interpret clinical findings pertaining to both anterior and posterior segment pathologies.
  4. Address complications and optimize patient management strategies for sustained clinical success.
